{"id":436,"date":"2012-07-27T06:26:06","date_gmt":"2012-07-27T06:26:06","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/dev.adoptaocasa.ro\/?page_id=436"},"modified":"2012-08-01T21:11:50","modified_gmt":"2012-08-01T21:11:50","slug":"test-2","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.adoptaocasa.ro\/en\/despre-rosia-montana\/test-2","title":{"rendered":"Ancient Gold Mining in Transylvania: The Ro\u015fia Montan\u0103 &#8211; Bucium Area (Horia Ciugudean)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<h3>Although the mining works of Ro\u015fia Montan\u0103 are recognised as \u201chistoric monuments of national and universal value\u201d due to their Roman, medieval and modern components (Law no. 422 \/ 2001), underground archaeological excavations focused almost entirely on research and documentation of the Roman component.<\/h3>\n<h3>The scientific study that we recommend here draws attention on another, neglected aspect \u2013 the possibility that for the site of Ro\u015fia Montan\u0103 to enclose prehistoric vestiges.<\/h3>\n<p><strong>\u201cAs the existence of pre-Roman hard rock gold mining is still debated by the scholars, some new finds are discussed here, including the Ro\u015fia Montan\u0103 14C data and the new results in the study of the metal provenance applied to the Transylvanian gold.
